I am buying a propane vented platcat and found an installation in the archives that includes venting into the passenger side battery compartment (85 Westy). Is there a down side to this installation (like blowing myself up??)?? I know that the compartment is vented, but is the path for exhaust too circuitous for efficient operation. It also calls for the intake air to come from the door panel fresh air intake. How does one insure that the air being used is not coming from the van itself???

Don
