I made my ramps out of 2x8's.  They are very stable,
easy to drive on and you can add more 2x8's if you
need the bus higher. I started with a 40" 2x8 then
went down 10 inches per board--ie 30" on top of that,
then 20" then 10" and a small piece at the end to keep
from driving off the ramp.  They are very easy to
drive on because the weight of the van on the first
level holds them in place while you drive up the other
three levels--no sliding in other words.
