Ken, if an idle position sensor is used on the 1.9L engines, I don't know where it is. On the 1.9L engines, the idle speed will be close to specs as long as your timing is right and you are getting spark and fuel to all four cylinders. My recent bouts with low idle speed have been caused by plug wires going bad (running on 3 cylinders) or a clogged fuel filter.
