I gave up on renting trailers from U-Haul earlier this year. Too much hassle. Went out and bought a nice tandem axle car hauler rated at 7,000 lbs. The only down side has been the amount of space it takes on the lot.

Cheers,

I towed my Syncro home with an Expedition on a 4 wheel Uhaul trailer. Everything went fine. In fact I've towed so many Vanagons with this setup, I have a Uhaul gold card. I've toyed with having an Expedition with a Uhaul trailer follow me wherever I go.
