Volks, I want to share an incredible vendor experience I had this week. A member of our community needs some help getting a replacement engine installed in their Westy. So a couple of us are working on a plan to help make this happen. Get a Donor engine - DONE Get Parts needed for the install - READ THIS REPORT Get a Work Party or local shop to do the work - NO SOLUTION YET I contacted Volks Cafe, explained the situation and that the cost would be covered by donations. I asked if they could give us a discount to help. Here's my shopping List: water pump, a/c, p/s, h20-alt belts, thermostat, thermostat oring 4 spark plugs, dist. Cap, dist rotor, wires, 4 meters of 7mm fuel line for entire engine area, 20 #2 fuel line clamps, injector seals small and large, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, exhaust gasket set, exhaust hardware set Instead Peter & Chris of Volks Café .... DONATED EVERY PART / FREE OF CHARGE AND EVEN THREW IN SHIPPING I have dealt with all the vendors on the list and found them all to be honorable, helpful and decent. But at the very top of this group has always been Volks Café. Their prices are excellent, their quality is first class and their Customer Service is unparalleled. They are true VW Enthusiasts. Please consider them as your "FIRST STOP FOR PARTS". Volks Café ..... Thank You for your generous assistance and Merry Christmas to your incredible team.
