Find the Arkansas Highway department website and you should be pleasantly surprised. We drove stretches of that road last spring and they've made a lot of progress on improvements. Not sure if they're done with the LR to Memphis delays yet, but I think most of the stuff west of there is pretty much done. Trucker Magazine at one point voted that stretch the worst piece of Interstate in the US. Rumor had it that too many inspectors were bought off during its initial construction.
