No doubt you could put a full sized horse in one with the sunroof. Might
be a good idea to put a blindfold on him, though. He might get alarmed
from seeing real-time road events ahead!  With no other load, a Vanagons
would certainly be able to hold the weight. I would be somewhat
concerned about the corrosive effects of the horse's emissions on the
sheet metal structure.
