Hi All,

1st post from a new lurker to this list, although I have been on the vintage bus list for years. Tom Buese, proud owner of a 84 Westy named "Detlef" after the German orig. owner of the Westy who put 38,500 miles on it in 18 years & sold it to me in almost showroom condition a couple of years ago. I have since put over 36,000 miles on it on many a fine trip.

In any event, See Dropgates.com Crash Test for a video of a vanagon & a volvo station wagon hitting semi-head on @ 58 KPH in a crash test. Very interesting! The van. jumped up on the volvo & theoretically killed the volvo driver & little damage to the Van. Driver!!!

Happy & safe driving to all,

Tom Buese 84 Westy, Detlef 65 Deluxe Westy? 63 Double Cab
