Subject: Rear Side Marker Bulb Replacement Help Request

My Vanagon is a 1980 Westfalia Canadian. My driver's side rear side marker (red lens) bulb has burned out. Thinking this was going to be simple matter I removed the lens and attempted to remove the bulb ... well, I can't get it out. It won't turn or push in with reasonable pressure (don't want to break the bulb). I've had a good look at the whole socket assembly and not wanting to damage anything by going at this too roughly I will ask the group members first ... tia.

BTW I have done a Bentley and Archive search ...

peace

bob
