I don't have the part number with me but I used one that a local shop sells for beetles. But the part number is for Vanagons. This was an easy job, but I did stumble a bit. My '85 was originally in Germany for the first year of service then imported, no factory antenna hole. The PO put one in there for his radio he installed. I don't know if this was the correct location I haven;t compared it yet. But The antenna went up under the dash and right out of the hole with very little effort. I will say that the instrument cluster was removed and the area was accesible through there. The antenna did not fit through this opening though, like I said from under the dash and up through the hole. Hope this helps.
