Question:

According to the Word Doc. I should have a Green wire in there for the tach that runs to the coil correct? I can't remember if there was or not I will check it out tonight. But if it is not there I could bypass to that terminal and straight to the coil.

Reply:

If your Vanagon was factory equipped with a tach there is obviously a wire from the gauge to the coil.

If you didn't have a tach originally, the green wire for the factory tach travels about 2 feet from the wire harness on the cluster to a 4-pin connector where it terminates. The connector is in the area of the fusebox. You could attach your own wire to the other side of this 4-pin connector and run it to the coil and everything should work.

Good Luck!
