Chris, - Master of Vanagons - That's a van that a few of on the list put together to leave at Walmarts near your house to drive you crazy. ; )

>here is a strange one.. last nite in the local wally world parking lot, i saw a '85 vanagon.. non-GL. it was medium blue non-metallic..a color that was not offered on the GL's it had the huge crank sunroof.. no beltline sticker (only GL's passenger vans had that) had the padded dash. had rear wiper.. had the big old steering wheel - which meant it had no power steering..(looked under the engine, yep, no PS pump) and it had a black vinyl interior, no armrests. owner was obviously into vanagons..it had a HWE german full roofrack on it, hella H4 7" rounds, and 15" Audi 200tq BBS alloys on it (fronts machined to fit) albiet with waaay small tires on it (195 15's!!) and a old school shiftknob extension.. windows were covered in "Carlisle import car swap meet" stickers.. all topped off with a healthy (not really) coating of white roadsalt..
