From my experience with sunroofs on European cars and a Vanagon, I have a feeling that there is a company over there called Sunroofs-R-Us because the hardware and fittings are so uniformly alike. The sunroof seals from a Vanagon might likely fit your '77.

I would not recommend using a substitute from an industrial house unless you do not mind some uncertainty and experimentation. What really complicates all this is that you will have no idea if the replacement is acceptable until you install it complete and then try to crank the roof closed. Even when I have replaced sunroof seals with the correct parts they have been very difficult to close the first few times until the seals take a set, so, I have to assume that there is not much wiggle room with this item.
