Got up this morning to minus something and tried to start my van. Still
using the old aircooled starter with a subie mod when I really should be
using a newer version. Turned over like extremely thick taffy. Jumped to
the aux and got a faster spin but not enough. Both batteries were reading
11.5 volts which should have been enough to start. Nothing like cold
weather to bring out some short comings in the starter circuit. I have a
newer type starter on the shelf (as usual-not on the vehicle where it
belongs.)

Planned insanity is best.
Remember that sanity is optional.
