I have written about ths on my web page the article is low oil pressure at warm idle the 2.1 rods distort over time and around 120K you can measure the big end and see that its no longer round plus the cap shift makes it a no go for reassembly unless you first replace the bolts then cut the matting surfaces and hone the big ends back to the correct size to insure the proper rod bearing clearance needed for long engine life My rebuilt rods are $140 with new non stretch to yield bolts Bob Donalds http://www.bostonengine.com
