I guess it depends on the point of view.

I was really glad to see the windows were already tinted on the '85 Westy I bought 2 1/2 years ago. It saved me the trouble and additional expense of doing it or having it done.

Also ... resale value is the last thing I think about. I plan to keep it until it's worthless ... or I'm worthless (can no longer drive) ... whichever comes first.

If I were shopping for another, tastefully done mods that enhanced it's usefulness would be welcomed as assets.

If your primary concern is resale value ... park it in a climate controlled garage. Put it up on jack stands. Cover and preserve everything and don't even touch it until you're ready to sell it.

Just my 2¢ worth.
