I used static cling window tint across the top of my windshield and on both front door glass. It was a big help in keeping the heat off of me while driving in Texas summers. I used foil backed dashboard protectors cut to size for rear side windows with magnets / clips / or Velcro while camped. Window tint will not devalue your Westy since anybody can remove it with a good razor scraper or heat applied to shrink the plastic from a hair dryer.

If you're concerned about it, why not instead get the translucent film that sticks on using just water. Then you can remove it whenever you want.
