Seen and taking a test ride :) Tīwas in the old days (late seventies ) when I used to work at a gas station that also had a workshop.... The NSUīs werenīt too common, I guess there was 10 or something Ro 80īs in town and they vanished rather quickly since the engines was really crappy !!!! I talked to the guy who owned that particular car and he was in the Ro 80 owners club board and told me that they used to flash the headlight as a "hello" signal when they met on the street and if it wasnīt just the guy next door they followed up with a number of headlightflashes to show how many enginechanges they have had to do !! Makes the WBX look like a masterpiece in reliability :-) Btw, I didnīt enjoy driving the car that much, was just like any medium/large size english or german car of the time even if the engine did sound a bit different ! I took a ride in a MGB GT V8 at about the same time and THAT was a treat, the acceleration was like that of my friends -70 Mustang Boss but you didnīt have to slow down when the road turned :-))

Happy New Year
