That is not a gowesty product problem. If you put in a heavy duty item you need to beef up the other side as well. The heavy duty will probably hold up to icing situations and hail far better than a standard light but no skylight is going to hold up to a load. Seen many a skylight caved in when something hit them or was put on them. Also that includes wind loading of leaving them open and trying to do 75mph down the highway. Not a good thing for stress and loading.
