I recently had my rear panel out of my 87. The vinyl on the board was shrinking badly. I used my heat gun to warm the vinyl and it came right off. Next I used some good Dap weld wood adheisive and some nice indoor out door carpet from my local yard birds. Here's the kicker. with the holes covered I found out I could use regular door panel clips in the holes of the panel and pop the panel on like a door panel. MUCH nicer to remove in the future, you dont shoot your eye out when those darn fixed buttons shatter into a bizillion pieces trying to remove the panel. You could still use the clips even if you do not recover the board you will just see the tops of the clips. cheers Doug ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brent Berisford" <bberisford@COMCAST.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Wednesday, December 29, 2004 5:12 PM Subject: Rear panel clips
