Yea Chris, You can change the brushes for about $10.00 Then as long as your there might as well change the starter drive 25 to 30 dollars depending where your buying your parts. Oh. You might want to change the armature bearings as long as you have it apart. Add another 10 to 15 dollars. And then you better think about having the windings growled to make sure they are not shorted. Who know's how much that will cost. So by the time it's all said and done you could have either bought a good used starter for 40 to 50 dollars, or just popped for a rebuilt one.

Either way it isn't going to be cheap.

Good Luck,

RC
