follow-on question for stan w.:

stan, you suggested canvassing glass distributors for leftover inventory
they may want to unload.  any knowledge of what price to offer them?  i
guess the max-min might be new street price - used street price??  with your
"old distributor inventory" item priced somewhere in between?

i'm up in the salty northeast (land of pitted windshields) and will need to
replace mine soon as well.  currently have no knowledge of windshield
pricing?  any assistance is welcomed.
