Semi Low cost scenario:

I bought an almost new PPG windshield w/ tinted top band at a vw swap meet for $15. Called a mobile glass guy to replace my '84's cracked window in my driveway for $50. Was planning to watch him do it by himself, but the phone rang, & when I came back out in 10 minutes+- he was cleaning up the new one that was already installed.

I believe there are tricks involved!
