I put it off for two years, but this year's cold snap brought on a pretty good leak. I am in the process of pulling mine. I got about six hours into the job yesterday, am probably another two hours from getting the heads undone, provided that I can figure how to dismantle the nuclear-plant-style exhaust assembly. > > Currently I am not over heating and the oil usage is minimal as > well as loss of coolant. Depending on what the weather is like where you live, you might get away with it for a long time as I did. I put two two-thousand mile trips on mine, plus the usual daily driver routine, since they started leaking christmas before last. But be advised that you are taking a risk. They could pop any time. I was not willing to go to NY and back again with them dripping a couple tablespoons a day in cold weather, even though it only dropped dime-sized puddles on warmer days.
