While I'm replacing my head gaskets, I've also pulled the injector assembly to replace the fuel hose throughout. I just got it out and in the floor last night. Today I took my first good look at it and something puzzling has come up. Everything down to the level of the injectors themselves is OK, a hose clamp on each end will replace the band clamps. But when I get out to the injectors themselves, I see that on their very short hoses there is a band clamp on one end but the other is swaged into a cup-like metal ferrule. On account of that ferrule, how does one deal with replacing that final bit of hose? Thanks, Jim |
