I think I could get at least $1k for it. When it's done it will be a fully restored 5 cyl Tdi Westy Syncro with the best of everything. I don't know if it will be worth $30k--even though I spent that over 5 years--but it will be one of the best Syncros in the country I believe. The joke was supposed to illustrate the fact my van cost nearly half what my house cost. In that light Eric's point is well made--we're a little nuts for spending what we do on these crazy things.
