Don't know if all that says much for the van (standard marketing claptrap),
but it sure as heck doesn't say much for 'universal translators'. Funny
thing is, I've been in chat rooms and I've seen
English-as-a-second-or-third-or-fourth language types speaking exactly like
that- runs the gamut from painful to hilarious. English is difficult enough
for many of its 'native' speakers, never mind those poor souls that have to
try to wrap their brains around our mangled tongue after they've already
learned something much more sensible. (And that sentence is a pretty good
example of that.)
I wonder if in thirty years the vanagon list will be all but extinct and
there will be people on the LT list asking 'can I run these tires....'.
They'll probably be talking about whether to convert to hydrogen and whether
the Suburu engines are the best candidates for it... : )
Cya,
Robert
