Well, I-90 through the Sierra actually goes through the Columbia River
Gorge, so >it< isn't likely to be affected by snow storms. However,
GETTING there (via Montana) might be an issue.

Also, though I-90 in Oregon isn't likely to be a problem, there is no
guarantee that I-5 won't have some snow.

If I were in your shoes, I'd take I-80. By the time you get there 3
days will likely have elapsed and that's 3 days towards road clearing.
And Interstates are among the first roads cleared.
