A HAPPY UPDATE on my non-starting vehicle with brand-new fuel lines: went out this morning and charged my battery for a minute or two because of all the starting attempts yesterday, and then tried to start it one more time just on general principle. Of course, it started. Guess it needed a day off. It runs like a top and there are no fuel leaks, beautiful.

Here are my theories:

1. Because the fuel lines needed a moment to pressurize after being replaced, the starting action drained the battery of enough voltage to run ECU's or fuel supply relays before fuel pressure was achieved. Once fuel was available the battery was too drained to power the electronics (<12.5 V)

2. I used electronic cleaning spray to clean a lot of the block plugs as I unplugged them, including the airflow meter connector. Although I waited several minutes for them to dry before reconnecting, maybe they were still wet.

3. Very wet morning in Michigan today, condensation everywhere, all over the engine compartment. Maybe an iffy ground is working because its wet and will fail again when it dries out. Hope not.

Have a good new year! see you on the road.
