The kit is just a coulple of steel plates. Total cost of aobut $6-10
plus labor. Not much of a fix. Since mine was done, I decided I didn't
trust it. My tunnel fell from the ceiling as I sped down the freeway in
heavy multilane traffic. Scared the bejeebers out of me. Could have
wrecked up. Anyway, got the fix, and since have gone back in and
installed my own fix. This amounted to an external steel strap that
wraps around the outside of the tunnel over the joints, The strap is
flanged with holes and a large pan head sheetmetal screw is threaded
into the frame in the ceiling to support the thing on each side. I used
a large area fender washer under the screw heads. I spray painted the
metal to match the tunnel as best I could. It's not the most cosmetic
thing in the world, but not bad either. Hardly noticeable, and I have
piece of mind.
