Hi Volks,

It's home now... After a year of lurking on the list we now have a waterboxer in the family, to go along with three Baywindow buses and two aircooled Vanagons.

It's a bit on the rough side but a LOT better than we had been expecting for the price. Dad is the third owner. It needs a thorough cleaning and new canvas; but the first priority will be to find out what went wrong to make the PO decide to park it four years ago. We have extensive maintenance records from the original owner (who brought it east from CA in 1997), but the P.O. in Buffalo was not nearly so nice to it. We're hoping it's something simple, like a vacuum leak or a fuel filter. (We should be so lucky.)

I'll post more about it once I've had a chance to see it in person. So far all I've seen is the pics above.
