Maggie,

Volks Cafe lists the rack at $325 + $200 core charge.

VanAgain lists the rack at $295 + $175 core charge

Bus Depot lists the rack at $249.95 + $200 core charge

The prices are within $75, if you don't count the core charge.  I'm sure
there are other venders that sell them also.  Be aware that most rebuilt
racks do not come with the 4 bushings you will need (251419081 - about $5
ea) or 2 new boots (251419831A - about $10 ea - you could reuse your old
ones...but I wouldn't...).

I discovered on the A.B.'s maiden voyage that her power steering rack was a
goner.  I checked around for a used one and none were available locally.  My
local mechanic checked his sources and came up with $350 for a rebuilt one
(Volk's Café and other places).  I'm supposed to let him know today whether
or not to go ahead.  Is that a reasonable price?
