Hi Bill,

Put the CV and the grease into a ziplock sandwich or freezer bag. Then put that bag inside another for good measure. This will allow you to work the grease into the joint without getting it all over you and your surroundings. When it's time to install the joint, just poke a hole in the side of the bag and slid it onto the axle, then slit the bag and remove it from the assembly. No muss, no fuss.
