Sorry List, I will join in on this one... Eric: While Joy, apparently, has had the pleasure of meeting you, I have not. I believe we did rub elbows at the COVVW show in August. I think that I watched you at the newly painted green double cab while you verbally picked it apart. If it wasn't you, they mimicked the words that you later used on this List when the Dokka showed up FS later in the month. I would have liked to meet and talk with you as a fellow Listee (as I have done with several others). HOWEVER, as you present yourself on this list I chose not to. The words that we type and send here are an indication of our true personalities. A window to our souls as Vanagon drivers. I'll not go deeper.

The words "stupid, moron, idiot" all are derogatory and potentially hurtful. While our respective postings do show a lot about us, particularly as grammarians, I don't think that they can be used as an indicator of IQ. And how can any of us pretend to be able to divine another's intellect just because we disagree on some arcane point of VW mechanics? It puzzles me. Some of your postings are informative and that's the reason I don't block your e-mails from my in-box. But your seemingly obnoxious and boorish behavior are hard to take and have put a negative pall on the List. Lighten up! And I will sign my full name to this... Stephen Steele Chillicothe OH
