With oring seals I have had some good results with using silicone blue on the faces and getting a good seal but donΉt get into the oring area itself. Not good to get in that area. After that if it didnΉt seal right I ended up using a material like jb weld and using a dremel to polish down to a near perfect surface again. If you use jb or similar materials make sure you wait the full cure time on them before doing any machining on them..
