Subject: Simpler sunroof options?
Content-type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset=iso-8859-1; reply-type=response

My 87 GL Westy is missing the original skylight and the necessary hardware except the two hinges on the outside. I don't want to spend somuch $$ to restore it to OEM. Is there a way to fasten an OEM-type skylight or even Plexiglass without the open/close feature to minimize cost? I don't think I will miss the vent function that much especially when the OEM skylight wouldn't work as an airscoop/vent while driving anyway. That would be something I'd be willing to spend some money on. Thanks.
