Interesting idea though is if the engine spins the opposite direction, it would allow the use of something like an Audi Quattro powertrain in a Syncro. I think an Audi V8 system with an auto trans and locking diffs would be a neat idea in a Syncro with say a Honda or Acura V6. You'd have to enjoy engine swaps though as this would be a duesy. I also think automatics are better off-road--at least for beginners like me.
