Itīs up to everyone to judge the looks of their vehicles ( I know people that would give their right arm to get an Aztec or an Element to Sweden ( :-P ) ) but the VW LT is a really nice van to use !

I was on a trip down to the south of Sweden a couple of weeks ago in a rental LT to help a friend moving his furniture and became really impressed by the vehicle ! It was a highroof (9 ft inside ! ) diesel and the driving position was more like in a medium size truck. It felt really secure to be able to look over the roofs of all cars around , and still it was more like driving any familycar than the Vanagon ! The cargospace allowed us to load ALL of my friends belongings from a tworoom apartement but it almost didnīt influence the handling at all - and we were driving on winter roads with snow and ice ! Both when going empty on the way down and fully loaded back we had the average speed of 55 mph (90 kmh) with some 80+ mph (+140 kmh) when passing slower traffic and this still wasnīt flat out ! The average fuelconsumption for the one day / 800mile (1300 km) trip with about 15% city was 23 mpg (10liter/ 100 km) ! And the most amazing thing was that after all them miles we were still fit enough to unload and hand back the LT in the evening and then go out for a pizza and a beer before I drove back home

If I had the cash Iīd get one tomorrow and donīt mind about the looks since Iīd be in the drivers seat with a happy grin on my face :-)
