I've seen FedEx and DHL using the Sprinters a lot here in Pennsylvania. On our France trip we hired four of them. One was a standard Sprinter panel van, and three were good-sized box vans (probably about 15-foot boxes). All of them had plenty of power, IMO. I know VW's TDis have higher HP ratings in Europe than in the USA, so it wouldn't be surprising if other diesels also had higher HP.

I'd be surprised to see VW ever importing the LT to the USA. I think they would have a hard time establishing a brand as a work truck in the USA. The Sprinter first showed up as a Freightliner in the USA (MB owns Freightliner, I believe) and was marketed to fleets as a commercial delivery van. Most of the FedEx vans I've seen are badged as Freightliners. I think Dodge has only been marketing them for a short time to the general population.
