And my years of experience (nearing 40) tell me that if ya'll cain't fixit with duck tape and blue goo, it don't need to be fixed.

Seriously, Loctite 515 and 518 anerobic sealants beat the socks off blue (or red or copper colored) goo. If you have questions about what sealant to use in which application, see your local industrial sealant distributor. (Kaman for much of the US)

Blue goo is to proper industrial sealants as Permatex is to blue goo. Silicone sealant is for sealing your bathtub, not your engine. Permatex is for sticking your 45 CI Hardley Merkelson together. (And it'll still leak.)
