well it looks like JB weld or PC7 will fix the pitting issue for the pump and i sandblasted all the tubes and painted with por-15. painted all the tubes and brackets black por 15 and the silver por 15 all the aluminum pcs. now the aluminum a/c , power steering, front engine supports are all pretty silver and can just be wiped off and look great.

now to put this pig back together should i high temp RV the bits and pcs back together or if the mate surface is good just gasket and bolt it up?

Jonce, all damaged mating surfaces on the waterboxer engine can easily be repaired with JB Weld, I do it all the time with great success. Also your plan of coating all the rustable metal parts with POR-15 is one that I have been following for years now very successfully also. Keep up the good work ! Use red Hi Temp RTV Silicon sealant on the rubber head gaskets and exhaust gaskets only. All other gasketed and O-ringed areas use the grey RTV Silicon sealant for aluminium surfaces. It will insure a good seal, stop corrosion and make it easy to disassemble when the time comes. A light tack coating on the gasket and O-ring surfaces is all that's needed.
