Saw this van with the for sale sign and called the guy up.  It is an '87
Westy with 125k miles on it.  AT, Alloy wheels, power locks.  he didn't
say, and I didn't notice about pwr windows.  didn't have the power mirrors
though.  He's had it about 2 years and drove it here from CA.  Previous
owner was an engineer who had engine rebuilt and repainted.  New Battery
and some electrical repairs in the dash area.  AC blows cold.  Alarm and
keyless entry.  Looked quite clean in my cursory inspection.  Paint looked
good and no signs of rust.  Interior looked complete and also good and
clean.  He's asking $9000, but sounds like he might negotiate toward
$8500.  He really doesn't want to sell it because he loves it, like most of
us love ours.  But, he's got another car, blah, blah, blah.  he says it is,
or was, on the samba, and maybe elsewhere online.  He will email you
pictures if you like.  Anyway, contact him, not
