I heard that one too. When I worked for the State Educational Television Services in High School, one of the common initiations for newbies was to be sent to the parts store to ask for either a Johnson Rod or a muffler bearing for some vehicle or another. Years later I found out that a Johnson Rod is the part that connects the drivers on a steam-driven locomotive. Still looking for that muffler bearing. And my dad actually did send my friends back around his garage to find a VW radiator hose... back in aircooled days.

Aren't you the guy who sold me one for my 1.6?
