Quote from Haynes: "When viewed from the rear of the vehicle the adjuster wheel on the left-hand brake assembly should be turned anti-clockwise to slacken off the brake shoes. The adjuster wheel on the right-hand brake assembly should be turned clockwise."

that sounds to me like putting the flat blade on the bottom of the wheel, adjuster handle up, and pull down on the adjuster, rotating the wheel up. Make sense. My mental-picturing-device (brain) is doing this so that can always be flawed :)

I would like to adjust my brakes through the holes provided to move those little ratchets that probably don't self adjust as they should. My handbrake is too high. I would like to know: which way is the righ and the left side should be adjusted. One is to 'down' and the other is to 'up'. The question is: which to adjust 'up' or 'down'. Any of you know? Zoltan
