Hi list,

Two of my (low beam) white plastic headlight screw adjustment clips broke into pieces while taking apart/adjusting my headlight assembly, and the special round-headed screws themselves are rusted beyond practical re-use.

Are universal replacements generally available at auto parts stores or is this a vanagon/VW dealer only item? (I think I found them at Bus Depot for $5 each, but there is no photo.) Any recommendations for a temporary rig that will do the job? Can I just install a home-brewed combination of screws, washer and nuts until I get the specialized parts, or is this a futile effort?
