With an IRS setup I doubt "ordinary" dual wheels will work well. If these vans have any camber change over the length of wheel travel, this would wear one or both tires rapidly along the outer edges and also stress the wheelbearings, possibly causing premature failure (a chronic problem with Subaru's Alcyone SVX).

You COULD use narrow duals such as were an option on some Japanese vans, but these are very small in diameter.
