Way back, when I was too young to know better, my father would often say
things like "the car doesn't sound right, must need a new muffler bearing".
I finally caught on, but he would still use things like that around the
automotive impaired just to see the reaction.
I supposed if you really tried to sell it, you may be able to convince
someone that the new direct injection diesels use ignition rotors to fire
the injectors.

Sure, Jeff. At the parts store, they keep them right by the water pumps
for early bugs and buses, RX7 valve guide reamers and a daunting array
of diesel plug wire sets.
