I work in NYC and only see a few in mid town but if you walk around the East Village 80's westies are very commonly parked on the streets. That said most look in bad shape.

Last time I had my 90 in New York I got LOTS of comments and peace signs from kids walking around it at street crossings. Must be an urban thing.
