I wasn't going to respond to this because I have no experience with the topic. I do have experience with where the thread went regarding a hatch mouning system. I have had 4 bikes on the back using this rack, and it is basically a Yakima roof system but modified slightly and mounted on the hatch. Works great. Photo: http://tinyurl.com/6yr52 Total cost to me for all of that was about $110.00 http://groups.msn.com/BobsPhotoShare/87westysyncro.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=820 Bob '87 Westy Syncro
