I've got a pigtail VW fix coming from listmember Bill M. It's been too cold and windy to get out and try other fixes just now, so when the pigtail arrives, I'll put it on and go for a long drive. Since the single capacitor did so much to improve the problem (although it did not eliminate it) I have a feeling that the VW harness fix will do the job. Let's hope so!

And to new listmember Jerry Ward, re "85 Vanagon GL Stalls when Warm," go read the thread on the above topic ... you've probably go the Vanagon Bucking Syndrome, exactly what I'm trying to remedy now. Good luck.

"When I returned with the rum, they were already seated on either side of the captain's breakfast table - Black Dog next to the door and sitting sideways so as to hav eone eye on his old shipmate and one, as I thought, on his retreat. He bade me go and leave the door wide open. 'None of your keyholes for me, sonny,' he said, and I left them together and retired into the bar."
